Set the perfect wedding reception table

For many people their wedding is one of the most important days of their life, so it’s understandable that most people want everything to be as perfect as possible when they say I do. The wedding reception is just as important, and this is a brief guide on getting your table settings just right.

Circular or rectangular tables

Circular tables are arguably more social and democratic but they can be less space-efficient than rectangular tables. If you are using long, narrow table use tall centrepieces to add depth to the setting, while centrepieces on circular tables shouldn’t be quite so tall as they will obstruct the view.

Centrepieces

Traditional wedding centrepieces often involve bouquets in nice vases or candles, but more and more couples are using their centrepiece as a chance to be more creative and personal. A centrepiece could feature pictures of the couple together, a comment jar in which guests can write marriage advice and memories of the couple, or whatever else you can think of.

Seating assignments

While some couples may want to experiment with the idea of a free-for-all when it comes to seating, there are still plenty of good reasons to assign your guests a seat. For a start, it shows a personal touch and guests can keep their name cards as a souvenir. More importantly, it ensures guests can seat themselves promptly and allows you the chance to make sure people are with their partners or people they know.

Table linen

When it comes to organising the perfect wedding the key to success really is in the finer details. Richard Haworth can help with some of the finer details like wedding tablecloths as we have been supplying linen to the hospitality trade for more than 30 years. Our Amalfi collection is perfect for special occasions like weddings because of their high quality and long lifespan.  Despite the durability of these trade-standard wedding tablecloths (they are longer-lasting than any other cotton or polycotton fabrics on the market), they still feel luxuriously soft to the fingertips. You can also be sure that whatever the colour scheme of the wedding Richard Haworth will have a tablecloth to complement it as the Amalfi collection comes in 25 vivid colours. These outstanding colours are resistant to fade, making sure that the colours are as enticing as ever years after their first use. Amalfi is also available in table runners, placemats, table skirting, chair covers and aprons, allowing any wedding to have a perfectly seamless, unified look that the married couple demand on their special day.

Wedding napkins

Wedding napkins are also available from the Amalfi collection to complete that consistent look. Whether wiping your mouth after dessert or your eyes during the speeches, these wedding napkins have all the qualities that make the wedding tablecloths so special.

Champagne Flutes

Last but not least, don’t forget the champagne flutes, as these are absolutely vital for making a toast to the lucky new couple!
