Wholesale towels could be required after holiday pond-dip
Hotel and bed and breakfast owners may find that they have plenty of guests from across the UK checking in to enjoy some of the National Forest events set to take place this summer.
And they may wish to ensure that they have plenty of wholesale towels to hand, as one of the events being organised is pond-dipping.
Carol Rowntree Jones, media relations officer at the National Forest, said other kids activities set to take place over the school holidays include ranger-led tours, "mini beast" hunting, theatre and arts and crafts - all of which will be taking place at the Conkers forest in the Midlands.
"There's also a new circular bike route so there's good facilities for cycling and gentle walking in the forest. It's geared to families and easy gentle activities which suit most people really well," she added.
With plenty of things to see and do, Ms Rowntree Jones advised staying nearby.
And after a busy day learning, exploring and playing, kids may want nothing more than to sink into some wholesale bedding and catch up on some much-needed sleep.
According to iknow-uk, staycation related searches are on the increase this summer.
