Richard Haworth wins Web Award

Online shop accolade

The Richard Haworth online linen shop has been honoured in the prestigious Web Awards 2010. The annual awards ceremony recognises outstanding examples of web design in the UK hospitality industry, in categories such as hotels, restaurants, marketing and social media.

Richard Haworth, supplier of luxury table, bed and bath linens for the catering industry for over 130 years, was crowned winner of the best Equipment Supplier website. Explaining the decision, one of the judges commended the "clear and clean layout, with sharp images and effective use of electronic catalogue".

Indeed, the Richard Haworth website allows hotel and restaurant owners to browse a huge selection of quality wholesale linens, including tablecloths, napkins, towels, aprons, pillows and bedding. Hi-res photographs accompany every product description, as well as easy-to-read size and quantity guides.

A history of success

Other winners in the Web Awards included Yo! Sushi for overall Website of the Year, restaurant chain Giraffe for effective use of Facebook and Twitter, and Gleneagles won best independent hotel website for the third year running. This five star Scottish resort, home to three championship golf courses, is in fact a Richard Haworth client; the hotel has purchased luxury goose down duvets from us to furnish some of their sumptuous bedrooms and suites.

Some of Richard Haworth's other prestigious clients include the Sheraton's Park Lane Hotel, and cruise operator P&O. Bespoke soft furnishing projects for some of the world's top hotels have been commissioned, and the website features glowing recommendations from several past customers. It appears a user-friendly website and reputation for quality can lead to great success.
