'Plenty of guest hotel supplies' at Carraw B&B
The chance to sleep on the historic site of Hadrian's Wall may no longer be so far-fetched, as a bed and breakfast in Northumberland is said to be built on top of its foundations.
And in addition to this proximity, the Daily Mail's "inspector" claims that during their stay they were able to find out even more about the landmark, as the accommodation is full of hotel supplies for guests that offer more information.
Carraw B&B offers its guests "comfortable" bedrooms, a "generous" breakfast and even an evening meal if requested early.
"Guests have use of a downstairs living room stacked with books, maps and information about Hadrian and his wall," the inspector claims.
This could inspire other UK B&Bs in sight of places of interest to invest in guides and history books that could prove useful to their guests.
According to the Hadrian's Wall Country website, the site is one of the best surviving examples of the Roman frontier and has been a World Heritage Site for over two decades.
