Can spa supplies help draw in customers?
There are a number of factors that customers should be on the lookout for when selecting a beauty salon, one sector commentator has claimed - and the owners of such establishments may wish to pay close attention to these.
In addition to choosing an establishment based on the quality of spa supplies they boast, women should also base their decision on how the employees of the establishment themselves look.
Such is the advice given by Ruth McCall, one of the co-ordinators of the London College of Beauty Therapy, who said guests may wish to check first that therapists keep their hair tied back.
Christina Cullen, lecturer at the London College of Beauty Therapy, added: "If they look terrible it doesn't make you feel confident to let them treat you."
Meanwhile, ensuring wholesale towels are clean may seem like a simple step but is still an important issue for spa owners to remember, with Ms Cullen explaining that good health and hygiene levels are something customers should be on the lookout for.
However, spas and beauty salon owners may have little to be concerned about when it comes to making a good impression on customers, as a moneysupermarket.com survey recently revealed that they rank in the top three of industries that provide the highest levels of customer service.
