Brits 'can choose from tens of thousands of holiday homes'
Whether they have transformed their property into a bed and breakfast establishment or are renting it out on a self-catering basis to holidaymakers, there are now tens of thousands of vacation properties across the globe, according to one sector commentator.
Indeed, people lucky enough to own a holiday home may be eagerly preparing for a summer rush by stocking up on wholesale towels, white bed linen or even restaurant supplies in order to ensure that guests come back again.
Kate Stinchcombe Gillies, head of communications at holidaylettings.co.uk, said that renting a property for a week or two while on holiday is becoming increasingly popular with travellers.
"As more people rent a holiday home they appreciate the extra space it gives them, the benefits of having bedrooms separate from living areas," she explained.
Ms Stinchcombe Gillies said this was especially the case for families with young children who want to go to bed early, while it also provides people with flexibility in choosing when to eat and drink.
Caxton FX recently claimed that staying in a holiday villa does not have to be expensive, particularly if it is booked between a group of friends.
