Differences between Hotel and Retail

Hotel style bed linen, such as duvet covers and pillowcases, do not feature buttons or flaps to hold the duvet or pillow in place and instead are open, to allow easy access for housekeepers when changing the linen, critical when time is an issue.

Hotel style is also a larger size, as these linens are designed to be cleaned at commercial laundries who wash at extremely high temperatures, thus allowing for shrinkage over time.

Retail style bed linen, whilst still using the exact fabrics as the Hotel style, are sized exactly as you would find on the high street, and also include flaps and buttons to hold the pillowcases and duvet covers securely in place.
