Food-lovers looking to enjoy a holiday close to home this year may wish to consider Wales.
Indeed, a spokeswoman for Visit Wales explains that the country's restaurants can offer diners
tablecloths that are piled high with culinary delights.
"Lots of the food in our restaurants is produced locally, so visitors can be assured that you will get fresh, tasty seafood from our extensive coastline and succulent Welsh lamb," she added.
In addition to these
restaurant supplies, she explained that Wales has plenty of activities to offer visitors of all ages, including mountain biking trails, all-weather white-water rafting and coasteering.
Meanwhile, she said that the beaches are all largely quiet and unspoilt, offering plenty of opportunity for coastal hikes while the Pembrokeshire National Park is particularly worth a look.
Recent research by YouGov revealed that 74 per cent of Welsh adults rated the country's beaches as either good or excellent.
