Writer enjoys night in white bed linen in Brighton
A writer has claimed that there is always something for visitors to do in the seaside resort of Brighton, no matter when they visit.

Victoria Ward, in an article for the Mirror, noted that she arrived for her stay to be greeted by "friendly staff", but that it was the furniture under the white bed linen that caused the most pleasant surprise.

She claimed that the bed in her spacious room was the largest "I have ever seen".

It may have been for this reason that Ms Ward enjoyed a "lazy lie-in" before exploring the sea front town the next day.

During her vacation, the writer took in the Marina, which is packed with yachts and several restaurants offering outdoor dining, and the Royal Pavilion.

King George IV was a familiar face at the pavilion during his time as Prince Regent and the interior decor appears how it would have in the 1800s.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail's Sally Shalam recently detailed a meal she enjoyed at the Wild Garlic restaurant in Dorset.

The eatery, which is owned by MasterChef winner Mat Follas, has a guest apartment that Ms Shalam said allows visitors to simply go downstairs when they want some "top grub".
