Will Cold Norton need more hotel supplies for new resort?
Proposals for a new 80-room hotel in Cold Norton are to be heard by local authority members in the next week, it has been reported.

According to the Chelmsford Weekly News, planning officers are urging the officials to give the go-ahead to the Three Rivers Golf and Country Club - which could see the resort soon moving to place an order for white bed linen.

The article claims that in the past, Maldon District Council has asserted that there is a shortage of travel accommodation in the area, although there are still concerns about establishing such as large hotel.

Among these fears are noise, pollution and a possible increase in traffic.

However, planning officers said: "The existing leisure use of the site leads officers to recommend that on balance this proposal should be granted permission."

In related news, the Big Brother housemates got to relax and sleep in the white bend linen of one hotel this week, after the house they have been staying in during filming of the Channel 4 show flooded.
