Why seaside hotel owners may want to stock up on wholesale towels

Holidaymakers in the UK looking for a nostalgia-packed break may head to the seaside, as these resorts evoke memories of childhood breaks, according to one sector commentator.

Indeed, holiday accommodation owners around the UK's coastline may wish to invest in additional hotel supplies such as wholesale towels to cater for guests attempting to recapture the magic of a by-gone trip.

Mark Di-Torro, spokesman for VisitBritain, said that people feel they are really on holiday when they are by the sea, which is good news for the UK's coastal regions.

Speaking of these destinations, he said: "The tourism infrastructure is already in place in these places, such as attractive entertainment and places to eat; people can go and enjoy a whole holiday by the seaside."

In addition, travellers can take long walks on the pier, visit the pubs and restaurants or take in a play when they are on a seaside holiday, he added.

And it is not only Britons who are enamoured with seaside breaks in the UK, with CNN's Consumer Connect survey revealing that more Europeans are planning to visit England in the next 12 months than any other country worldwide.
