Why Hull could offer culture and luxury hotel supplies

Britons looking to sample a UK break in a city they may know little about have been advised to give Hull a try.

Whether they are looking for the chance to relax in white bed linen and indulge in hotel supplies or go out and explore the city, Hull could offer a holiday experience to suit all tastes and budgets.

Councillor John Robinson, portfolio holder for image and culture, said that the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race and the Freedom festival are just two of the events that see visitors flocking to the area.

"Our city has a lot to offer, especially culturally, with its eight free museums and art gallery and we are delighted that this is being recognised in this way," he added.

Meanwhile, according to iknow-yorkshire.co.uk, there has been an increase over the last year of users looking for things to do and places to stay in Hull, with many on the lookout for "cosy" bed and breakfasts to stay in during their break.
