A hotel in Staffordshire is promising its guests a night of fright as part of a fundraising event.

People staying at the Quality Hotel in Hanley on November 27th may be glad to rush back to their rooms and hide under the wholesale bedding, as a special paranormal team will be visiting the establishment to hunt for ghosts.

The Sentinel reports that the investigation will also help to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes.

Guests are told that the hotel has been the sight of hauntings in the past, which may leave them with little appetite as they sit down to make use of some of the restaurant supplies.

Andrea Leake, of Witch Events 4 U, said: "The Quality Hotel is built by the old railway station and there is quite a history of goings-on there."

Participants will enjoy a hearty meal ahead of the investigation, which is scheduled to wrap up at 03:00 BST.

Emily Burns, head of events at English Heritage, said last month that many if the historical buildings cared for by the charity are haunted.
