Whatever a holidaymaker's budget, South Devon is likely to have something to offer them, it has been claimed.
Indeed, whether Britons are looking to sit at
tablecloths laden with local delicacies for the evening of fine dining, spend the weekend relaxing and indulging in
spa supplies or hitting the beach, they may find it on offer in the region.
Sarah Streeter, marketing manager for Visit South Devon, said other attractions that could be worth a visit include the Farm, the Round Robin steam train and river boat and the Woodlands adventure park, while there are also numerous National Trust and English Heritage sites to take in.
"For those who want something more rural, coastal walks are plentiful with amazing scenery. [Or you could try] watersports such as canoeing down the River Dart," she explained.
On the subject of food, Ms Streeter pointed out that the South Devon crab is a dish worth trying, as is a traditional cream tea.
"The food and drink offerings in the area are not to be missed - there is fantastic fresh seafood," she concluded.
Visit Devon recently claimed that the region has seen plenty of new investment from hotels and restaurants.
