New wholesale bedding may be required for Bristol guest house
A former hotel in Bristol city centre is to be transformed into a brand new guesthouse, it has been reported.

New owners Carla and Andrew Brooks, who already own such a property in Bath, may now be looking to invest in new restaurant supplies and hotel supplies such as wholesale bedding in order to kit out each of the building's 23 rooms.

Located in St Nicholas Market, the Evening Post reports that the property, which was formerly the Walkabout Hotel, has stood empty for 18 months.

The couple have begun a £300,000 refurbishment of the guest house and hope it will gain a four star rating.

"What we are looking to create is a classic English guest house right in the heart of the city. Bristol has got so much to offer and we are expecting the holiday trade to pick up over the next two to three years," said Mrs Brooks.

Elsewhere, the Sentinel reports that people checking into the Quality Hotel in Hanley, Staffordshire on November 27th can expect a spooky night as the property's owners are hosting an evening of ghost hunting.
