New London hotel offers simple room with white bed linen
A new "no-frills" hotel in London aims to provide travellers with cheaper accommodation.

Visiting Tune Hotel, the Daily Mail's 'Inspector' noted that while there is a bed made up with white bed linen, a hair dryer and a couple of coat hangers, many additional hotel supplies come at a cost.

Indeed, should guests wish to use a towel, soap or shampoo during their stay they will have to pay for it if they have not brought their own, while there is also a charge for watching television or having the room cleaned.

In addition, the room is small and lacks space for a lot of luggage, although visitors can pay to have it stored at reception.

The hotel aims to offer guests a cheap place to stay where they can design their visit around what they pay for.

"Of course, you should always be wary of any 'From £...' promises. Invariably, there are more conditions attached to these low prices than there are to a Donald Trump pre-nup," the Inspector claims.

Alison Couper, global communications director at Hotels.com, recently claimed that prior research before booking can ensure that consumers are prepared for any hidden costs they may have to pay during their holiday.
