A hotel on the Isle of Man has completed the first stage of its refurbishment project.
Just under half of the rooms at the Claremont Hotel have now been redecorated and decked out in revamped features including
white bed linen.
Plenty more
hotel supplies may still be required, however, as isleofman.com reports that the revamp will cost an estimated £1 million in total, with all 56 of its bedrooms being modernised.
While the standard rooms have cost £20,000 to kit out, the executive suites have seen a £50,000 price tag for completion.
The rooms will now boast Wi-Fi internet access, docking bays for iPods and 32 inch flat screen television sets with Blu-Ray players.
Mark Wilson, managing director of the Sleepwell Hotel Group, said the firm commissioned a survey of local business people to find out what they were looking for in their overnight accommodation.
"People also commented on the size of the bed so we have tried to implement a very large bed as the key element in the room and then build around it," he explained.
Elsewhere, it has been reported that the construction of a new waterfront complex in Swansea that includes a 132-bed Premier Inn hotel has been completed ahead of schedule.
