Events over the summer have led to many Britons delaying their holiday plans until the start of autumn, it has been claimed.
Indeed, September may now be a popular time for people to either jet off or take a UK break where they can relax in
white bed linen and make use of
hotel supplies.
Matt Hall, head of product at lowcostholidays.com, said that this month is proving popular with holidaymakers for a number of factors, including the number of deals on offer.
Other drivers that put people off from travelling earlier in the hear included the desire to watch the World Cup and the ash cloud preventing many from being able to fly.
"All those bits and pieces definitely pushed everything back later. September is generally strong for us but it's becoming stronger at the moment, partially off the back of some of those factors," Mr Hall explained.
Recent figures from lowcostholidays.com revealed that its bookings for holidays this September are up 75 per cent year-on-year.
