Are more brides picking out wedding napkins this month?
The weekend of September 3rd to 5th has been revealed to be the most popular time to get married in the UK this year.

Indeed, many brides may now be working at completing the finishing touches of their big day, such as choosing the wedding napkins and tablecloths that will match the decor of the venue where they will hold their reception.

According to insurance provider Ecclesiastical, 2.5 per cent of weddings during 2010 will take place on this weekend.

Indeed, September is proving to be an increasingly popular month during which to tie the knot, with the weekend of the 10th to 12th also a favoured time to get hitched.

With a third September weekend also appearing in the top five, the other two weekends were both found to have been during July - which was last year's most popular month in which to get married.

Ecclesiastical's personal lines insurance manager Dave Simms said: "[Early September] weather is still at its best for the photographs and videos, but hopefully not as unsettled as it can sometimes be in July and August these days."

The cover provider recently offered advice to customers of Confetti after the wedding supplier went into administration, with Ecclesiastical urging stricken couples to contact their insurance provider.
