A new hotel is opening in the city centre of Aberdeen.
The Radisson premises in Scotland have been opened and guests could go and sample
hotel supplies at the chain's latest offering.
Costing £30 million, the building will add an extra 50 jobs to the local economy and is part of a £75 million development that is being created in a regeneration area of the city, the Scotsman reports.
Entitled the Radisson Park Inn and located near Union Street, it features 185 bedrooms and is owned by the Hazledene Group from Edinburgh, while being operated by hotels group Rezidor.
Commenting on the new structure, Scotland's first minister Alex Salmond said: "The hotel has not only created 50 new jobs but will be a major contributor to the local economy as part of the overall £75 million iQ development project."
Meanwhile,
wholesale bedding may also be needed for three new resorts being planned in Liverpool, with proposals for the ventures currently before councillors and an extra 341 bedrooms potentially added to the city's accommodation, according to the Liverpool Daily Post.
